Bryanson Book Sale Bonanza

JOHANNESBURG - Friends of the Bryanston Library urge residents to donate and buy books

The Friends of Bryanston Library group has received an excellent response from people donating books of all kinds in the past months.

They are now calling upon residents in the Bryanston area to join them once more in their quest to collect books and share knowledge. Friends of the Bryanston Library group member Karen Corbett is overjoyed with all the support they have received from the community.

“We enjoyed such an excellent response from people donating books. Those that we were unable to sell have been donated to Hospice, the Guide-Dogs Association and Oasis Haven.” Oasis Haven cares for abandoned children.

Corbett added that she is very proud of the team of volunteers who help out at meetings and reach out to their communities. She said the atmosphere at the book sale is friendly and chatty and is a great place for people to meet other book lovers.

The next book sale will take place on 7 May at the Bryanston Library. There will be a special children’s storytelling time from 11.00am to 11.30am.

People are encouraged to visit and donate old books – and buy some new ones.
