Water pipe flood in Bryanston
BRYANSTON - The corner of Main Road and Grosvenor Avenue in Bryanston was flooded after a construction work led to severe damage on a water pipe leading to complete flooding on the road on 9 December.

Spokesperson for Johannesburg Water Eleanor Mavimbela said, “We cannot say what caused the burst pipe at the current moment. The team is currently on site to investigate and they will proceed with repairs on the pipe as soon as they have found out what the problem is.”
According to a worker on the scene, the initial damage is said to have occurred at 4pm on 8 December with reckless drilling leading to the bursting of a water main pipe which leads to the main reservoir.
City Power, who had been installing new cabling in the area, was onsite, but their role in the burst is unclear.
