No water for Bryanston for 12 hours today, water tanks set up

BRYANSTON - Johannesburg Water has informed residents living in Olivedale/Bryanston Ext 3 that there is an emergency water disruption today, 7 July.

The streets that are affected are Jacaranda, Kays, Hornbill and President Fouche. The water interruption will last from 8am to 8pm and there will no water during this time. The City’s water and sanitation service provider, Joburg Water, said the reason for the interruption was a major burst on a 300mm fibre cement main pipe.

Joburg Water said water tanks have been placed at the Olivedale Hospital, the BP garage opposite the hospital, Meadowbrook Business Park, the corner of President Fouche and Jacaranda roads, and at the corner of Jacaranda and Hornbill roads.

“Johannesburg Water wishes to apologise to the residents in affected areas and undertakes to have the interruption resolved as soon as possible,” said the entity.

The good news, though, is that according to the entity, there should be improved service delivery and the continuation of water supply.
