Bringing Judy to the Square

SANDTON - The Auto and General Theatre on the Square was buzzing with excitement with the opening of Cat sings Judy on 29 January.

The show saw acclaimed songstress Cat Simoni singing classic songs by Hollywood legend Judy Garland. Written and directed by renowned Royal Shakespeare Company member Paul Spence, the mesmerising show saw Simoni presenting the excited audience with a mixed bag of Garland classics and hilarious banter.

Simoni let her fingers tread gracefully on her grand piano with a jazzy swing, while channeling the many facets of Judy Garland through standards such as One for My Baby and Somewhere Over the Rainbow which transported the audience to the heart-warming golden era of MGM musicals.
