Alex football says thank you
ALEXANDRA - Secretary general of the Alexandra Northrand Local Football Association Mafika Morajane has thanked all those who graced the funeral of the late Dr Leepile Taunyane.
The Alexandra Northrand Local Football Association has thanked its affiliates, the Alex community and football fraternity, including members of Safa Johannesburg delegation, who graced the funeral of the late life president of the association and Premier Soccer League Dr Leepile Moshweu Taunyane, who was laid to rest on 3 November.
Association secretary general Mafika Morajane said they were greatly humbled by the presence of all attendees at Dr Taunyane’s last journey to his final resting place. He also thanked the Premier Soccer league and its chairperson Dr Irvin ‘Iron Duke’ Khoza for the role they played in the funeral.
“Our gratitude also goes to the Taunyane family for allowing us into their space and giving us a platform to honour this lion of of our football,” Morajane said.
