Former St Stithians cricketer Curtis Campher named the Coca-Cola Hero of the Day
SANDTON – Former St Stithians cricketer Curtis Campher claims victory at the crease.

Curtis Campher, a former St Stithians College cricketer was recently named the Coca-Cola Hero of the Day for day three of the 2017 Coca-Cola Khaya Majola Cricket Week that took place in December.
The prestigious award was presented on each day of the tournament in recognition of a game-changing ‘hero’ moment. Curtis, playing for Gauteng, was selected for the award by a panel of cricket experts after he batted brilliantly when his team needed him the most. He came to the crease when Mpumalanga had Gauteng at 12/5 and he batted well to score 48 not out. Curtis managed to get his team to 115/6 which proved to be a winning total.
“It is a real honour to win this award,” said Curtis on the day. “My main aim in this tournament is to do my best for my team.”
Former Proteas player and head of the panel Victor Mpitsang congratulated Curtis for his winning knock.
Phindile Phiri, Coca-Cola Africa’s senior communications manager said, “We saw many heroic moments. Curtis stepped up to the plate for his team and we were proud to call him our Coca-Cola Hero of the Day.”
