Growing a love for golf

SANDTON - Prior to the nail-biting Investec Cup competition, which took place from 19 to 22 March in Rustenberg at the Lost City, Investec hosted a very special lunch in Sandton on 17 March where they drew out the names for the competition.

The Investec Cup is one of the staple events in the Sunshine Tour calendar and gives amateur golfers from all over South Africa the opportunity to play against some the top professionals.

The small gathering hosted a who’s who in the business and professional golfing worlds and proved the perfect way for the two worlds to meet.

2014 women’s winner of the Investec Cup Lee-Ann Pace attended the event to show her support for the sponsors and amateurs who played.

She said it’s important for people to support the tour locally as it was a great way to help the growth of women’s golf in South Africa as Investec places more money and faith into the development of the sport in the country.
