A ballsy affair
ILLOVO - The Sorbet Group hosted Brovember Action Football Tournament, a proverbial prostate and testicular cancer drive, at the Discovery Sports Park in Illovo.

Participants gathered into teams of eight players for a fun day out on the field in support of prostate cancer awareness. All proceeds were donated to the More Balls Than Most prostate and testicular cancer charity.
South African celebrities like Mark Pilgrim, Gordon Gilbert, Tumisho Masha and Mark Fish have aligned themselves to the drive. Pilgrim, who is also a cancer survivor and More Balls than Most ambassador, said, “I know the importance of early detection. One sometimes only realises the importance only after you have been touched. Men tend to be proud and sometimes ignorant, but the fact is, ignorance can cost you your life.”
There were giveaways, food and refreshment stalls on the day. It was down to the two teams, Alexander Gunners and the winning team, Just Fun, in the finals. One lucky player from Just Fun won a return trip for two to New York City.
More Balls Than Most prostate and testicular cancer charity continues to receive growing support. The event was a thrilling day of soccer for the whole family.
