Fed up with death trap

Geraldine Mcloughlin writes:

Hooray for the brand-new R511, but what a pity about the stop streets which are there whilst we wait – how much longer? – for the advertised robots to actually be finished and work. Meanwhile more drivers than not don’t even slow down through these stops, but just keep at the same speed right through them!

Now we have the Lonehill crossing, finished at long last, but lo and behold no robots! Not even any sign that they are going to put them up!

The guy who has been directing traffic there for quite some time seems to have disappeared too, leaving this death trap for us to take our chances with! This is, and always has been, a very busy crossing – so when can we expect a proper traffic controlled crossing?

After all, there used to be robots/traffic lights, so where are they? Hopefully, they will arrive in the not-too-distant future before we have a really big accident while everyone plays dodgems at the crossing.

Perhaps someone can answer these questions.
