Closure takes its toll

MA Steinberg writes:

With reference to your article, Businesses hit hard, week ending 18 April, concerning the effect on businesses resulting from the collapse of Coleraine Drive.

I would point out that I have been dealing with the referred to business on Olympia Avenue, Parkmore since 1980, when it was still controlled by the previous owners.

The thought of dealing with any other service station has never crossed my mind, and the effect on business, or possible closure of this outlet would be a disaster for an entire area stretching from Bryanston, Rivonia, Riverclub and Parkmore, right through to Benmore and environs.

I would strongly urge motorists to literally go out of their way to support what is a veritable institution, with an unmatched reputation for service and for business integrity.

It should go without saying that I have no personal or business interests in this outlet.

  1. This is an absolute disgrace that Coleraine Drive is in ruins. why should it be? We pay our rates and taxes? too terrible for words. such more of the decay that we have to live with. Im sure it will be fixed eventually but why does the JRA or whomever is responsible have to wait until the 11th hour and then come in to the rescue. Anne Lapedus Brest.
