DA can make Joburg ‘world class’

Following the letter entitled Shameful roads (week ending 14 February), I would like to agree wholeheartedly with the writer. Our roads are a complete disgrace and the pavements are often overgrown with grass and weeds. There is no way that Johannesburg can be called ‘world class’.

I have just visited Cape Town, Somerset West and Paternoster where I drove through various suburbs, main roads and freeways and I didn’t see one single pothole the entire time. Not only were the roads in perfect condition but the suburban street signs and other road signs were clearly visible.

If only our Joburg Metro was as well run – bring on the DA.
