Bryanston experiencing power outage after load-shedding

BRYANSTON – Residents in Bryanston expressed on Twitter how they noticed the power going on and off after load-shedding ended around 8am.


City Power has confirmed that the Bryanston area is experiencing an outage since the early hours of this morning (6 February) due to faulty equipment at a substation.

Bryanston was under the load-shedding schedule 4am to 8am but when it came time for the power to come back on the distributor tripped a few times.

City Power informed residents on Twitter that restoration is under way.

Areas affected include the greater part of Bryanston and surrounding areas, City Power has dispatched a team of technicians to the substation to work on repairs and restorations.

City Power said they hope the power will be back on by 4pm and apologised for the inconvenience.
