Eskom downgrades load-shedding to Stage 1 and Stage 2

JOBURG – Eskom has moved into Stage 1 and Stage 2 rotational load-shedding.

Eskom has announced that Stage 2 load-shedding will start from 9am until 11pm today, 22 March, after the country was hit by consecutive days of Stage 4 load-shedding since 16 March.

The state utility said there is still a shortage of capacity. Earlier this week the Eskom board with the minister of Enterprise Pravin Gordhan said they have no timeframe of when load-shedding will end and that an investigation into the current electricity problems will only be complete within 10 days.
