Eskom implements Stage 1 load-shedding

Eskom has implemented rotational Stage 1 load-shedding from 11am.

Eskom has announced that they will be implementing Stage 1 load-shedding from 11am on 14 March.

The power utility has stressed that the power system is still constrained and had to implement stage one rotational load-shedding until 11pm.

Stage 1 rotational load-shedding is implemented nationwide as a last resort, Eskom has appealed to the public and business to use electricity sparingly.

Eskom did warn earlier this week that stage one load-shedding was possible at any moment.
