A rare sighting of Wahlberg’s epauletted fruit bats had Bryanston resident John Souglides overjoyed with the little creatures living in his garden.

A long-crested eagle that was struck by a wayward golf ball at the Country Club Johannesburg was successfully rehabilitated and released into the wild.

Bryanston resident, Alexandra Makhlouf, qualified with her first guide dog, a yellow female Labrador and will be roaming the streets together.

One ‘owl’ of an idea:
The Owl Rescue Centre came up with a unique idea to help cut down on plastic waste and create owl boxes at the same time. Recycled plastic donated to the centre helps create owl boxes for owls to nest in.

Four owlets were ringed in Sandhurst after an owl returned for nesting in an owl box in Sandhurst. The residents were delighted to have the young owls ringed in their backyard.
