Car topples over Belgrave bridge

BRYANSTON – Accident sees vehicle crash into the spruit.

A White Audi TT has crashed into the Braamfontein Spruit after an apparent vehicle accident in Bryanston.

Eblockwatch founder and Bryanston resident Andre Synman explained that the vehicle had landed in the spruit but that no injuries had been reported.

The bridge has made headlines for years due to annual flooding during rainy season. The bridge now has a boom which closes off access to the bridge during storms or very wet weather. Read more below.
