Saints tennis team wins inter-high tournament

LYME PARK – The junior inter-high tennis tournament saw over 20 teams competing in the event.

 

St Stithians College hosted its annual Junior Inter-High tennis tournament on 27 October with more than 20 teams competing.

The St Stithians Boys’ College first team consisting of Andreas Scott, Ben Scott, Dan Crowie, Calvin Crouse and Loago Saleshando, won their opening group convincingly by beating Crawford Lonehill, Redhill and Dainfern College, thus advancing to the semi-final.

They then went on to defeat Linden by 14 games to four to reach the final.

In the final, with the temperatures rising way more than 30 degrees on the court, St Stithians beat a very determined King Edward School team by 11 games to seven.
