SANDTON – Around 35 people recently attended a Zumba fitness session in support of the Sandton SPCA.

Dream Body Fitness team based in Woodmead recently hosted a one-hour Zumba fitness session.
The session, in support of the Sandton SPCA took place on 1 September and the community came to break a sweat to support the animals. It was the second session in support of the Sandton SPCA to raise much-needed funds.
This according to Wilna Lamb the education officer at the Sandton SPCA who said that the first session was hosted at the Sunninghill branch. “Around 50 people attended the two-hour session and all the proceeds went to the SPCA.”
Taskeen Suleman from Dream Body Fitness said the initiatives were driven by her and suggested to the SPCA.
Suleman elaborated on the first marathon session, “On 25 August we hosted a fitness marathon at our Sunninghill branch at The Core Centre and had over 50 attendees.”

She said the marathon included a high impact functional class, a spinning class, a boxing workout and an abs and cardio workout which lasted two hours.
“The session on 1 September was a one-hour Zumba class led by Maggie Khunou with her vibrant personality and fun session,” said Suleman.
“The session was attended by 35 people as well as eight beautiful girls.”
The Dream Body Fitness team raised just over R7 000 for the Sandton SPCA between these two initiatives.
