SA Post Office releases new social grant card but still has service delivery issues
JOBURG – Twitter users share their experiences with the South African Post Office.

The South African Post Office has announced that it will transfer one million social grant beneficiaries from the old Cash Paymaster Services’ South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) card to a new card issued by Postbank.
The post office said social grant beneficiaries with the old white card, which will be fully phased out by 30 September, should swap it for the new gold card. Card swapping can be done at the social security agency’s offices nationally on any workday as well as at all the pay points during the July grants payment cycle.
While some have said the process has been seamless to transfer from the old card to the new one, others have raised concerns about the process.

The @PostofficeSa & @OfficialSASSA have deployed teams throughout the country where dedicated temporary card swap sites are established using existing infrastructure such as municipality halls to expedite the migration to the new card. @The_DSD #SASSACardSwap @GCISMedia @CommsZA pic.twitter.com/6YOldvBwpd

Some people have also raised concerns about receiving their parcels months after they had been delivered, or not at all, while others have received great service.

I receive a number of parcel through the SA Post Office, I received all my parcel & all instact. Two complaint is standing in this long queue for ages because there is only one or two tellers and SA customs takes ages to release the parcels. Create jobs for people

Me and my siblings we've been using post office to send parcels to my mom in the rural EC (Kei Road) as we r in CT. We have never experienced problems. Parcels arrive on time and the stuff there even call my mom to come fetch her parcels. So far so good.
