Eight taxis were impounded, six of the taxis were reported to be stolen.

Police in Johannesburg are turning up the heat on taxi drivers breaking the law in the city.
Operation Buya Mthetho forms part of the city’s initiative to bring back law and sees police tailing taxi drivers and impounding their vehicles for various reasons.
In the past two weeks, eight taxis have been impounded, six of the taxis were stolen taxis.
