The original reinstatement was not done correctly and left exposed cables lying on the ground.
Vincent Earp Ward 103 councillor said that electricity has been restored. “They sent the electrical contractor back to the site and did a permanent repair which took about 12 hours due to the rain.
“They have now laid the cables about 2m below the surface. This should have been done when the first theft took place. We need to do things properly so as to avoid wasteful expenditure.”
