BRYANSTON – Want to find out how to support local talent? Read to find out.

Bryanston resident, Ben Welfemeier, who plays Christopher Robin in the Winnie the Pooh musical production currently on at the Peoples Theatre in Braamfontein, shared his journey thus far.
Wefelmeier (11) is currently in Grade 6 at St Peter’s Boys Preparatory School and is acting in his seventh show at the Peoples Theatre.
“I have a passion for acting and I hope to move to New York to study theatre after I complete matric,” Wefelmeier said.
Playing Christopher Robin is full circle for him, as he first experienced theatre as a toddler at the age of two to watch Winnie the Pooh.
Wefelmeier explained that the production is based on the cuddly bear and his friends who live in a forest at the bottom of the garden where his character Christopher Robin lives.
“The days that Winnie the Pooh and his friends have are filled with wisdom and love that children who come and see the production will remember most of their lives,” said Wefelmeier.
