Two police officers of Sandton Police Station found dagga plants weighing 30kg on a construction site in Bryanston on 3 March at about 5pm.
Constable David Mothapo, spokesperson for Sandton Police Station said, “Constable Morris Kgasago and Constable Essau Sambo were doing routine police duties when they stopped at a construction site at a residence and noticed the dagga shrubs.”
The dagga plants that were recovered.
According to Mothapo, a man who was on the property ran away when he realised the officers had noticed the dagga plants.
“About 30kg of dagga [plants] was recovered from the scene and police are working hard at finding the suspects,” said Mothapo.
