“It was an honour to welcome the young Cornish cricketers to our campus and to reciprocate the kindness and goodwill shown to our boys when they visited Cornwall,” said Lethabo-Thabo Royds, communication coordinator at St Stithians.
“When the Saints boys visit Cornwall and the Cornwall boys visit Saints, you can see the great friendships that develop between them,” said Royds.
The great game of cricket, in this case, does more than teach the boys about teamwork, patience and hard work, it also gives them the time to connect with people from a completely different continent – an invaluable lesson. The boys also have the unique opportunity of international travel.
Russel Lennox, director of sport at St Stithians Boys Preparatory said, “The Boys Prep loved hosting Cornwall Cricket Club over the weekend. We congratulate every player and official.”
