Call to help victims of crime

SANDTON – The Sandton Victim Empowerment Programme is appealing for volunteers to assist in counselling of victims.

No background training or experience is required and training will be provided at a non-refundable cost of R600 per volunteer which includes tea, coffee and lunch.

The training will include two one-day sessions on consecutive weekends in March. Exact dates to be confirmed.
Volunteers must be at least 27 years of age, South African citizens, have access to email and their own transport and reside in Sandton. A commitment of 16 hours a month is required.

No remuneration is provided.
Pre-training interviews will take place in February. Dates to be confirmed.
