CPF looking to fill vacant positions
SANDTON - Due to the resignation of the incumbent chairperson of Sandton CPF Sector 3, there is a vacancy in the chair for this sector. The organisation is also looking to fill the position of secretary.
The Sandton CPF is calling for nominations for both these volunteer positions from persons living or working in Sector 3, which includes the suburbs of Benmore Gardens, Dalecross, Dennehof, Duxberry, Hurlpark, Little Filian, Moodie Hill, Morningside, Morningside Manor, Morningside Ext 40, New Brighton, Parkmore, Sandown, Sandhurst, Strathavon and Sunset Acres.
Chairperson vacancy:
This position requires strong leadership and a commitment to the safety of the Sandton community. Excellent community liaison skills and management experience will also be highly beneficial.
Secretary vacancy:
This position requires strong secretarial and administration skills, attention to detail and the ability to interact at all levels.
Nominees are required to undergo South African Police Service clearance in order to qualify. The general public is welcome to submit nominations that meet the selection criteria.
The elections for qualifying nominees will take place early next year at the Sandton CPF Sector 3 meeting, which will be held in the first-floor boardroom, Sandton Police Station, 2 Summit Road, Morningside, Sandton.
The date of the meeting will be confirmed shortly, and it will be open to the public. Nominations and voting will only be applicable to eligible persons.
The Sandton CPF would like to take this opportunity to thank Judith Taylor, the outgoing chairperson of Sandton CPF Sector 3. “Judith has been active in the Sandton CPF for many years and has given tirelessly of her time and energy,” said Sandton CPF chairperson Anthony Modena.
“It is with regret that we accept her resignation, but understand the pressure she is under from work and her many other community commitments. Without a doubt, she will be missed by her colleagues and community.”
Sandton CPF Sector 3 community meetings are held every third Thursday of each month at 6pm in the boardroom. The next meeting will be on 17 November and all residents and businesses are welcome.
