MARY PIGUEL: It’s not ideal that we will be fined if we use too much water, but what can we do if these are the measures they’re now putting into place?
DERECK PIGUEL: I don’t know. The water issue will not really affect me, personally, when we move back to the UK. If the people were taught to use water (and other resources) wisely in the first place, maybe we wouldn’t be in this position.
ANA’LICIA MOODLEY: I haven’t seen the effects of the water shortage and I don’t think the restrictions will affect me so much. I think there are certain people who will be affected, but I’m okay for now – as long as this drought doesn’t go on for too long.
ANGELA EDWARDES: I try not to water the garden too often and I generally use water as sparingly as I can.
