DA and ANC battle it out in Joburg

JOBURG – It's a tight one between DA and ANC in the City of Johannesburg.

As the counting of votes for the municipal elections held on 3 August continues, the contest for the City of Johannesburg remains evidently tight between the two big political parties.

As results were trickling in on 4 August, the DA was the leading party in Johannesburg.

At 8.07 am on 5 August, the ANC had taken a narrow lead, bagging 41.84 percent of votes. The DA is trailing behind closely with 41.72 percent and the EFF is standing at 10.81 percent of the votes in Johannesburg.
