Thusong gets clothes for Mandela Day
ALEXANDRA - Children, elderly get their Mandela Day moment in clothes donation

Children and adults who are provided with meals by the Thusong Youth Centre received a donation of clothing and blankets from Swiss engineering company, Endress Hausser based in Krammerville.
This is one of the company’s annual planned activities in commemoration of Mandela Day on 18 July.
The company’s Kgomotso Makhubela said it was company culture to help those in need. “This time, we donate clothes and blankets to address winter needs of the children and the elderly,” said Makhubela.
She stated that they preferred responding to specific needs to enable the company to assess and feel the impact of their donation. “This should be through a wishlist of school shoes, school uniforms, stationery and other needs. In previous occasions, we painted and cleaned some schools,” Makhubela said.
The centre’s manager, Beauty More commended the company for the donation and said with poverty and unemployment being such a concern, support would always be welcomed.
Makhubela also urged other companies to do likewise to help alleviate suffering.
