Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for Sandton police, said the men were initially apprehended by security guards who caught them while patrolling the area in the afternoon.
“They were then handed over to the Sandton police and detained at the station,” added Maphakela.
He said the suspects had allegedly broken into a woman’s house and stole garden tools worth R500. “They stole a garden fork and a spade,” said Maphakela.
The suspects are expected to appear in court soon.
