Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for Sandton Police Station, said the victim was walking along Rivonia Road heading towards Witkoppen Road late at night when the incident occurred.
“One of the suspects threatened the victim with a knife and demanded money and his cellphone,” explained Maphakela.
According to Maphakela, the man handed over two cellphones to the suspects and R500.
“The suspects then fled on foot,” said Maphakela.
No arrests have been made and investigations are underway.
