Woman opens assault case after being slapped

SANDTON – A woman was allegedly slapped across the face outside of her residence in Sandton.

 

Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for Sandton Police Station, said the woman had just parked her VW Polo Vivo outside her house when a man who is known to her, approached her vehicle.

“She said the man hit the left side of her car damaging the window,” explained Maphakela.

“When she asked the man what was going on, he then slapped her across the face and accused her of damaging his sunglasses worth R4 600.”

The woman opened a case of assault and a case of malicious damage to property with Sandton police on 2 February.

No arrest has been made and the police are still investigating the case.
