Sandton police nab 25 for various crimes

SANDTON – A total of 25 people were recently arrested by Sandton police for various offences, ranging from possession of a stolen motor vehicle to theft and fraud.

 

Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for Sandton Police Station, explained that seven people were arrested for theft while another four were arrested for fraud.

“The police further nabbed one person for possession of a stolen motor vehicle, five for shoplifting and six for possession of dagga,” Maphakela said.

Two more suspects were arrested by police officers on a charge of malicious damage to property.

Maphakela confirmed that all of the suspects were detained at Sandton Police Station.

“The suspects have since appeared in court to answer for their charges,” he concluded.
