
According to IOL News, the Hawks cybercrime unit in conjunction with Crime Intelligence made the arrests.
Hawks spokesperson Lieutenant Robert Netshiunda told IOL that the couple was put under surveillance for a week and during a search at their residence the Hawks found high tech ATM skimming devices, 800 cloned cards, 1500 bank cards which were waiting to be cloned and R20 000 cash as well as R66 000 in foreign currency.
The suspects are due to appear before the Johannesburg Specialised Commercial Court.
The couple have been charged with unauthorised access to data, possession of a device that is designed to overcome security as well as fraud.
