Sandton SPCA seeks eager wrappers

SANDTON - As the festive season approaches, the Sandton SPCA is looking for volunteers at their gift-wrapping activation at Sandton City Shopping Centre.

The activation will be held from 4 to 24 December and is local residents are urged to help out. Spokesperson of the organisation, Kylie Coleman said, “A part of this Christmas activation involves a full-time gift wrapping service. Each year, Sandton City approaches a non-profit organisation to provide this service, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to that selected organisation. This year they have chosen the Sandton SPCA.”

The shopping centre will be offering gift wrapping courses for interested volunteers.

The Sandton SPCA is looking for volunteers to work each day from 9am to 1pm, 1pm to 5pm and 5pm to 9pm.

Coleman added, “This is an amazing opportunity for the Sandton SPCA to raise some much-needed funding for our cause. It is also the perfect way for volunteers to give back this festive season as well as for school students to complete their community service hours for school.”

Interested volunteers can contact the organisation for more details on the gift wrapping service.
