Halloween takes over the streets of Parkmore

PARKMORE - The second annual Parkmore Halloween Parade took place and saw more than 200 children meet outside Parkmore Mews for a walk down 12th Street on 1 November.

Kate Wardle, deputy chairperson of the Parkmore Community Association, said 11 houses volunteered to dish out sweets to trick-or-treaters celebrating Halloween.

“All sweets were generously donated by the residents, together with bottles of water as the temperature topped 32 degrees at 5pm on the day,” added Wardle.

The parade was organised by Imke Fuesgen, a Parkmore Community Association member, and a team of her volunteers.

“Everyone got into the spirit with adults and children dressing up,” said Wardle.

“Four groups of trick-or-treaters made their way around the route and took part in games organised in Shandon Way Park by resident Naeema Nassuirio.”

Wardle also said 24/7 Security Services provided traffic assistance to ensure everyone’s safety.
