Residents unimpressed with missing street signs in Buccleuch

BUCCLEUCH – A long-standing complaint of missing street signs which has remained unresolved for some time has left residents of Buccleuch unimpressed.

Andrew McMurray, chairperson of the Sandton Community Police Forum Sector 4 sub-forum, said he had requested the Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) to attend to the complaint a number of times.

“I refer to numerous e-mails sent to JRA about the issue of these missing street signs, to which we have still had no feedback,” he added.

Bertha Peters-Scheepers, spokesperson for the roads agency said, “We sincerely apologise for the delayed erection of the street name plates. JRA will ensure the street kerb names are painted during November, and these will assist until the street name signs are printed and erected in Buccleuch.”
