The musical spectacular has been described as the official launch of a project that aims to bring social cohesion and nation building. With more than 30 South African acts and DJs showcased in a full-day event, it promises to be nothing less than legendary.

View the eclipse at The Planetarium
There will be a partial eclipse of the sun and the Planetarium at Wits University wants you to view it with them. They will provide you with proper protection eclipse glasses for only R6, so don’t miss out.

Art Week Joburg – In Newtown
All afternoon on Saturday, 12 September, Newtown comes alive with pop-up exhibitions, art sales, parties and walking tours at the historic downtown district’s many gallery and studio spaces such as Assemblage, The Bag Factory and Artist Proof Studios.

FNB Joburg Art Fair
South Africa’s biggest and most prestigious art event takes place from 11 to 13 September at the Sandton Convention Centre. In addition to this year’s best contemporary artworks from Africa’s leading galleries, there’s also a bumper lineup of special exhibitions such as the Johannesburg Pavilion and the African Masters Exhibition to look forward to. For a fun night out with the art crowd, don’t miss the official Art Party at the Alexander Theatre on Sat Sep 12 in Braamfontein.
