Elderly invited to inaugural Hope tea party
BUCCLEUCH – Aimed at creating a space for the elderly to socialise and network, the newly-launched Honour Our Precious Elders (Hope) initiative invites elderly residents to their bi-monthly tea party events.

The first tea party will take place on 1 September, while the second is scheduled to take place on 15 September at the New Church in Buccleuch from 6pm to 7pm.
The initiative was started by the Buccleuch Residents’ Action Community and launched in July. It focuses on getting senior citizens within the suburb to socialise with each other and get involved in activities that keep them entertained.
The community is urged to inform any residents over the age of 55 of the initiative, or to give the association their contact details so an invitation can be extended.
