Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for the Sandton police, explained that roadblocks took place over the long weekend in Sunninghill, Parkmore and Strathavon.
“The police conducted the various roadblocks and managed to apprehend 12 people for driving under the influence of alcohol,” he said.
He added that the police also conducted the roadblocks in Edenburg, Paulshof and Churchill park during the same weekend.
