Wonderbag inspires networking lunch in Inanda
INANDA – The businesswoman who is a supplier of Wonderbag, hosted a Wonderwomen networking session at the Inanda Club.
Sarah Collins invited guests and friends to be a part of a networking session, which will also be held around the world to bring women together to support a global movement to feed and nourish families using the Wonderbag.
The Wonderbag is a simple but revolutionary portable slow cooker. Once a pot has come to the boil it is placed in the bag which continues to slow cook the food for up to 12 hours.
“The Wonderbag has become synonymous with women doing amazingly supportive projects, not only in their own communities but for communities around the world,” said Collins.
She said the idea of the Wonderbag was inspired by Moshy Mathe, the founder of youth organisation, Youth for Survival. The two women met on an aeroplane and they started a conversation which led to the creation of the Wonderbag.
“It was for the empowerment of women that I met Sarah,” said Mathe. She added that the Wonderbag had opened up a number of business and job opportunities for women all over the world. Mathe is now the global ambassador of Wonderbag.
Collins explained that for every Wonderbag purchased in the United States of America, one is donated to a family in need in Africa.
