Randburg Sector 2 CPF hosts anti-crime campaign

BRYANSTON - The Randburg Sector 2 Community Police Forum got to work combating crime when they hosted an anti-crime awareness campaign in Bryanston.

The sector covers Bryanston from the west side of Main Road from the N1 highway, and down William Nicol Drive until Peter

Place. The campaign involved community members, Ward 104 councillor Mike Wood, sector manager Constable Maqhawe Dlodlo and other Randburg police officers. It took place at Epsom Downs Shopping Centre and saw brochures and leaflets distributed, informing residents on what to look out for to avoid becoming victims of crime.

Lance Porter, chairperson of the sector explained that campaigns were hosted at various areas within the sector to spread the crime message to residents. “We move around quite a bit going to the various malls, and the next campaign will take place some time during July,” he said.
