This following International Nurses Day which is internationally celebrated annually around the world on 12 May.
Minah Sono, the nursing area manager at the hospital, said the nurses only celebrated International Nurses Day on 27 May because they wanted to raise enough funds to have the best ceremony that honours the work they do.
“They have really worked hard raising funds for this event,” added Sono. “This day is about recognising those who go the extra mile. It takes someone with a big heart to nurse mentally-ill patients. We encourage them to continue to serve.”
