UPDATE: Alleged armed robbery in Bryanston

BRYANSTON - There was an armed robbery at a petrol station in Cramerview on the morning of 4 May.

UPDATE: 02.43PM

Colonel Andries Odendaal, the acting station commander for the Randburg police said police officers attended the scene. He explained that a male victim was attacked by two armed suspects while he was parked at the parking lot of the petrol station on Main Road.

“The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money,” added Odendaal. “He was taken to hospital to be treated for trauma.”

Odendaal said he cannot confirm whether there is CCTV footage of the incident available, however, an investigation is pending.

Three male suspects allegedly fled in a silver Polo Vivo from the Total Garage after the incident on 4 May.

Colonel Andries Odendaal, the acting station commander for the Randburg police said, “I have not been informed of the incident yet but I will check with our vehicles, maybe officers are still at the scene.”
