No water for 10 000 homes

BRYANSTON - Johannesburg Water has announced that over 10 000 properties in Bryanston and surrounding areas will have no water due to an emergency shutdown on 1 April.

Communications officer at Johannesburg Water Puleng Mopeli said there is a pipe burst on the corner of Leslie and Penguin avenues on the outlet of the reservoir. They are anticipating that 10 000 properties will be affected by the emergency shutdown.

All streets in Beverley, Pineslopes, Lonehill, Fourways, Fourways Gardens, Witkoppen and extensions, Douglasdale and extensions, Norscot, Craighavon, Magaliessig, Paulshof and extensions, Epsom Downs, Bryanston and extensions, Bryanston East and West, Country Life Park, Solridge, Millhill, Kramerview, Clevehill Park, Petervale and Dainfern will have no water from 6am to 5pm as the Johannesburg Water technicians attempt to fix the pipe.

Mopeli added, “Johannesburg Water wishes to apologise to the residents in affected areas and undertakes to have the interruption resolved as soon as possible.”
