ADT nabs burglar in Parkmore

PARKMORE - ADT officers stopped two burglars in their tracks in Parkmore on 26 March after they swiftly responded to a reported robbery on 4th Street.

At 6am, ADT reaction officers Jacob Mashishi and David Mabusha responded to an alarm activation in Parkmore.

On arrival, they found and apprehended a suspect who was still on the property. The suspect and an accomplice had climbed over the wall after cutting the electric fencing and forced the sliding door open with a pickaxe. They gained access to the house and triggered the alarm. ADT successfully apprehended one of the suspects and he was handed over to Sandton Saps.

Managing director of ADT Clive Humphreys said, “We advise residents to contact a security specialist to check that their electric fence has been correctly installed and that there are no vulnerable areas. It is also important to always check that trees and bushes have not grown close to the fence, compromising its effectiveness.”
