The suspect was arrested after police received a tip-off during patrol hours according to Bramley police spokesperson,Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela.
“The incident occurred just before 5pm after police received a tip-off about a male in possession of an illegal firearm visiting in the area,” he said.
Maphakela added that when the suspect was searched, a firearm was found and he was arrested and charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
He said the suspect was arrested for two previous crimes in Kwa-thema, one for attempted business robbery, and the other for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
