Pedestrian knocked down on William Nicol

FOURWAYS – A pedestrian has been knocked down on William Nicol Drive off-ramp from the N1 north highway.

Traffic is currently grid-locked on William Nicol Drive all the way up to Leslie Avenue in both directions and motorists are urged to find alternative routes.

Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar, spokesperson for Metro police, confirmed the incident and stated that a woman motorist knocked the male pedestrian over.

“A helicopter has landed on the scene to airlift the injured pedestrian to hospital,” said Minnaar.
