Fifth open heart surgery for Buccleuch boy
BUCCLEUCH - Ayaan Bhoopal, a five-year-old boy who was diagnosed with a Congenital Heart Defect (CHD), will undergo his fifth open heart surgery on 10 March.
Bhoopal’s mother, Seshma, said the surgery will be performed at the Sunninghill Hospital. “He will have his fifth open heart surgery together with a few other procedures,” explained Seshma.
Bhoopal was born with the defect and unfortunately only received his diagnosis after six weeks of his birth, which resulted in him not acquiring corrective surgery on time.
