DA youth protest at Megawatt Park

The demonstrators are protesting against Eskom being the monopoly in the South African energy sector. The protestors are holding placards that read, ‘Break the Eskom Monopoly’ and ‘Power to the People’.

According to Fourways Review‘s senior journalist Varushka Padayachi, the protestor’s said that people do not want to invest in South Africa because of the recent load shedding.

Democratic Alliance member Mmusi Maimane is expected to appear at the protest.
